Führungswechsel bei Monster bestätigt!
So, nun ist es wohl offiziell – soeben habe ich folgende eMail von Mr.X weitergeleitet bekommen:
“A Message from Steve Pogorzelski :
The purpose of this email is to inform you of the departures of Marc de
Vries and Davide Villa, effective August 31, 2007. Both of these
departures are voluntary in nature and are not performance-related.
Davide Villa has been with Monster since 2004 beginning with the
JobPilot acquisition by Monster. Under his leadership, our German
business has experienced rapid growth and is now the second largest
Monster country property in terms of sales. Furthermore, Davide has led
the entire CEE region to strong sales and profit growth.
Marc de Vries is one of the first Monster Europe employees and has spent
over ten years with the company. Marc has held a variety of roles
within Monster, most recently CEO of the Northern Region. Under Marc’s
leadership the Northern Region has been the fastest growing region in
Europe the past several years.
Marc and Davide are both consummate leaders and professionals. They
have contributed mightily in innumerable ways to the success and market
leadership of Monster Europe. Their values and especially their “zeal
to win” will be greatly missed. I wish them nothing but the utmost
health, happiness and prosperity. I am also profoundly grateful for
their contributions to Monster and our personal friendships.
Business, like life, must go on. Marc and Davide’s departures opens the
door of opportunity for two other world class leaders and professionals.
Effective September 1, Andrea Bertone and Rob Brouwer will be promoted
to co-Head’s of Monster Europe. Andrea will be responsible for both the
Southern and UK/IE regions and will be based in London. Going forward,
the Scandinavia Region will be part of the UK/IE group. Rob will return
to Amsterdam and assume managerial responsibilities for the Northern and
Central Regions.
This new alignment provides us with the opportunity to look at our
European structure in new ways that can power even greater prosperity
for Monster Europe and our loyal employees. Monster Europe has and will
continue to exert its leadership across the continent as well as in
individual countries.
Please join me in wishing Davide and Marc well as they embark on their
next endeavors and also in congratulating Andrea and Rob on their
well-deserved promotions.

Andrea Bertone und Rob Brouwer sind nun ab dem 1.August also die neuen Obermonster in Europa. Ein wenig verwunderlich finde ich allerdings, dass in der eMail immer nur von “Europe” die Sprache ist, und nicht von Deutschland! Strukturiert da Monster ein wenig um? Wird das Deutschlandgeschäft nun durch Europa geleitet? Durchaus verständlich für ein amerikanisches Unternehmen, aber ob das auch in Deutschland so sinnvoll ist… naja, die Damen und Herren von Monster werden wohl wissen was sie tun 
Schon möglich, dass die Amis das Geschäft in Europa zentralisieren möchten, was ich aufgrund der Unterschiede (Mentalitätsfragen, kulturelle Unterschiede,etc.) in den einzelnen Regionen für nicht sinnvoll halten würde.
Ich denke jedoch, dass Monster USA der (sprachlichen) Einfachheit von Europa spricht und damit die einzelnen Divisionen meint.
Denn gerade Monster Deutschland wird sich bestimmt gegen eine gesamt-europäische Lösung wehren. Das ist im Jahre 2004 ja auch gelungen, als sich das ehemalige Jobpilot Management gegen die übliche US-Monster Vereinleibungstaktik durchgesetzt hat.

Das nennt man wohl Management-Konsolidierung.
Bis zum 31.08.2007 ist Monster in vier Regionen in Europa aufgeteilt, UK/IE, Northern Countries (Benelux und Skandinavien), Southern Europe (FR, IT, ES) und CEE (DE, CH, AT, CZ, PL, HU).
Und ab dem 01.09.2007 gibt es halt nur noch zwei Regionen, die von Andrea Bertone (UK/IE, Southern Europe und Skandinavien) und die von Rob Brouwer (Benelux und CEE). Da werden sich die deutschen Monster sicherlich freuen, dass sie nun ihre Anweisungen aus Amsterdam bekommen.
Ob der kürzliche Umzug von Bad Homburg nach Eschborn schon etwas damit zu tun hatte? Schließlich wurde damit die ursprüngliche Jobpilot Heimat verlassen.
Oder vielleicht waren einfach die dortigen Büros zu groß… ein Schelm, wer Böses dabei denkt.
